Ok, so we're currently using 2 computers on the WRT54G V6 model. One computer (mine) is directly connected to the router via ethernet cable. The 2nd, my wife's computer, is connected via a USB wireless G adapter. Every night, around 8pm (we're both usually on around this time) the router just decides to drop the internet connection. I know it's the router, cause the modem lights are all fine and flashing like normal.
I've updated the firmware to the latest one on Linksys' website, but still no dice. Kept getting dropped every few mins for about 45m-1hr last night while gaming. (WoW)
I'm considering just getting a new router that is a bit more reliable if people can recommend one. I never had this problem until I moved into our new home and setup both computers on the network (before it was just mine and I was directly connected to the modem, an Ambit from Time Warner Cable)
Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this, or any suggestions for a new reliable router that isn't as old technology? I've done searches on google and lots of people seem to have this problem, but no solution.
