Hello all.

I have $1500 CDN to spend on a new system. I have been out of the loop completely on hardware. I started putting 1 together at NCIX but i can't keep it under $1500. I just don't know what to look for and what is good and what is not.

The rig will be strictly for gaming. Need the whole deal cpu, mobo, ram, vid card, psu, case, hd.

Here is what i started putting together but as you can see i was quickly heading for $1500 and not even at the vid card yet. I could do without the raptor i suppose.

I have to order the parts from this place so am limited to what they have, but they have quite a good seletion.

hopefully you guys can help me out as i am waiting to build this comp...just itchin to spend the money lol. When done i can retire my current comp to folding which will be cool

Trying to keep the price of the cpu and memory down to fit a high-end video card. Besides the 940 is right up there with an AMD X2 3800, and significantly cheaper.

Because once you spend the extra money on ram, mobo, and psu, it's not worth it. Money is better spent on the video card.

FYI, you can find a 7900 gt at newegg for about 250 dollars, even cheaper. After rebates though

Thanks for the help guys

bamacre nice list. I am a AMD fan and all my systems have been AMD but for the sake of keeping the price down i can handle going intel.

Unfortunately newegg is not a option for me

Thanks Again
