Help: screen freezes and BSOD's

Hey guys, need your advice.

A week and a half ago I started to get occasional screen freeze/bsod - static picture on screen, had to reset - now it's getting worse - last day it happened, screen freezes on both my winXP loading OS screen and on my Vista loading OS screen.

I tested RAM with memtest overnight, no problems.
I tested HD with Hutil (samsung F1) with no problems.
I tested HD with chkdsk /f /o with no problems.

I sent RAM, CPU and mobo back to retailer to be tested. They tested and said nothing wrong. Temps run fine on mobo, gfx and cpu.

P5E3 premium wifi@n
8gb corsair 1333mhz
9800GX2
750gb samsung F1
Tagan TG1100-BZ (1.1kw)

Notice the strange mixing of letters? What causes that?

2 SATA connections are used:
sata1 = HDD set to AHCI
sata2 = DVD writer set to AHCI

The Vista and XP installs are on a dual boot, my HDD is split 350gb x 2 partitions.

Any advice is very welcome.

Maybe increase the voltage on your ram a little.

I had an issue on my buddies 780i with OCZ Ram..had to tap it up from 1.8 to 2.0 to get it to be stable with all dimms populated.

Worked just fine at 1.8 with just 1 or 2 dimms populated.

Try testing your RAM using MemTest86 (bootable disk).
Let it run overnight to get the results (unless of course you get errors very quickly).

If you do get errors, try testing with just one stick and/or bumping the VDIMM as Nick suggested.

Post back with results.

Hmm, thing is though as I said in first post I ran memtest overnight with no issues at the voltage its set to, incidentally it is set to auto.

I could be wrong, but I believe I've heard something about Memtest having a hard time spotting errors in 8GB all at once. I would look up the manufacturer recommended voltage and set it manually, just to see if it helps the problem at all.

I've decided to buy 2 more drives. I'll install WinXP on one of them and then Vista on the other. I've also ordered a power supply tester with PCI-E and SATA connections and an LCD display for more precise readings. I'll also load Bios defaults and then carefully review the settings. Aside from that I don't know what to do next - let's hope one of those things fixes it! Thanks guys.
