Help SuperNoob with wiring info.

Hi all, i know little about wiring a PC, hence the name. First off, I am trying to wire up my front USB/headphone/mic/and speaker connectors. Secondly, i was thinking of replacing this wiring mess with some kick ass wires i found on a pc accessory site. I just dont know which is which and names and stuff. Tell me what you can. below is my USB diagram info.....

plug=ground/pos/neg/vcc
plug also has extra ground branched off of plug ground

Post up some pics, that would help alot. Also check in the motherboard manual, lots of good stuff in there.

The front-audio header is standardized, so any front-audio setup you find will be fine. The USB headers are not 100% standardized, so look at your owner's manual and/or post what motherboard brand and model you're working on.

well, i have the USBs done. the problem i have now is that the other stuff isnt connected. all i want at this point is to have my mic hooked up. i have my soundcard wired up to 5.1 surround, so i cant use the rear jack. i have the ECS Nforce4 a939 (1.0) motherboard, no manual or diagram. the comp was a gift, and i have never wired a full setup....ever. all i need is a basic instruction on what to look for, where at, and i should be ok. can someone help me wire the mic?
