help video problem here

okall of the sudden I started having this problem link on my computer running a
AIW 9700 Pro, AMD XP2100+ o/c 180x10, A7N8X-DLX, 512MB PC2700 Kingston

I tried it running on another computer it worked fine, I tried running a Ti4200 onthis computer and worked fine aswell, so I RMAed the videocard and I received an AIW 9800 Pro, but the problem is still there.

here are some stuffs that I already tried:
-run videocard on a different monitor
-run another videocard on the computer
-reformatted the computer
-lowered the voltage on videocard and CPU
-set FSB to defauly 166
-disable fastwrite
-disable AGP 8x

but the problem is still there

im guessing the problem is with the DVI as both ati were DVI and I was having problem only with them.

May not be the case, but I was having trouble using my monitor with DVI, turns on the cable has to go on a specific way, one end is labled computer, one end monitor, I was having similar problems, and just turned out the cable was on the wrong way..may not be your problem, but something to look at..

Have you tried resetting the BIOS?
Also, have you considered the monitor/monitor cable or heavy electrical interference nearby?

Couple more ?s:

a) have you successfully hooked another dvi device to this monitor to see if it works correctly?

b) have you tried more than 1 dvi cable?

-used another DVI cable
-used my ti4200 DVI plug instead of the video
those 2 worked great.

my feeling is that its mobo problem, my a7n8x-dlx must not like ATI cards

the ati card loads to the windows desktop no problem now, but as soon as I run another program or press the start button, the problem starts to appear

I had a similar issue. what PSU do U have? ... I updated to a enermax 460 and the problem got resolved ..... also when U boot up and see the corruption rest the computer via reset button a few times till the artifacts go away and it will boot as normal

i have an antec 480W
2HDD, 2 DVD drive

and when I tested the videocard on another computer, it was a dell with 250W and worked great

do the artifects go away when U try to reset it on boot up ??

not all the time, and I manage to load with no artifacts up til desktop, but when I run Start or any programs, big time artifacts shows up
