Help w/ error msg pls.

I just got in a computer I bought off ebay.. I put my HD from my old computer in it, as well as my DVD-rom and CDRW.. I booted it and got the error:
Second master drive incompatible ATAPI. Press F1 to resume.

From searching around I found solutions for this problem being:
1)This occurs on machines with DVD/CDRW combo drives when the BIOS is set to AUTO for the device.
Setting the devices on the secondary controller to NOT INSTALLED will solve the problem and also boot the PC faster than previously with no detrimental affect in Windows.
Devices such as Removable Media devices (zips, orbs) and DVD/CD-ROMs should almost always be set to NONE or NOT INSTALLED in the BIOS. AUTO should only be set for fixed hard disk drives"

The Problem with this is my computer boots, and when I hit delete it doesn't go into the bios.. instead it goes on and gives me the error.

2) Cables loose or not connected. - Checked them all, they all are.


I'm at a stand still here.. I don't know what else to do.. Any suggestions?

How old is your computer?

First thing, that cables loose or not connected thing doesn't always mean there's a cable loose or not connected. It could very well be a BIOS problem. Have your tried F2, F8, CTRL+F2, etc. Delete is not always the way to get into BIOS.

The computer is a 1.4 ghz, so its farely new. Also is says 'enter delete to enter setup' so I assumed it was delete.

Try booting without anything attached and then try going to the bios before it goes to the hard drive.

If you can change your setting, change it to "None" and for hard drives just have it auto detect the hard disk.
