hi,
i just took out my modem to test it in another machine and then plugged it back in and then installed it ok and everything was fine. then about an hour later, i switched on my machine, it came up with two options at the first screen before getting into windows something like this, not sure though.
"
Bad? CMOS/???????
PRESS F1 FOR SETUP
PRESS F2 FOR ?????
"
cant remeber exaclty what it said, but i pressed one of them then it loaded straight into windows, it then started to find "Multimedia Audio Device", so i reset my machine to see if the problem would go away but then i noticed that it said my machine was something like 1000MHZ at the very first screen before getting into windows, it usually says 1400MHZ.
so then i took a look at my bios setup and noticed that all my onboard devices where now enabled which is why i was getting "Multimedia Audio Device" in windows coming up guess.
so by the looks of things i have some how reset my bios. why was this and what can i do to get it back? all my programs and everything in windows seems fine apart from in "system information" in "system tools" theres a lot less information there now.
