Help with Pinnacle PCTV card...

I don't know if this is in the right forum. If so, mods, please move it. Allright, on to the problem.

I recently procured of a Pinnacle PCTV. But I have a problem.

When I use PAL, the image is proper (Since I live in China) but the tracking is off.

When I use NTSC, it looks like a black and white patchwork, but atleast the tracking is right on.

ANYBODY have ANY idea what's going on here?

Yeah I've worked with Pinnacle cards. That was a bad experiance.
What software you using?
This would be a little better in video.

Throw it to the trash.....

I had one and it has been the WORST piece of hardware I have owned so far..... Image quality is OK once you have found the right settings.

Have you tried SECAM??? Also, change the color conversion from RGB or YUV12 to YUY2..... this should work.

I'm using PCTV vision. And I don't where those options are buried. Can anyone help?

I don't know if a TV card belongs under video.. might be right though. ?@

Sorry to not be of much help, since my experience with Pinnacle tells me they s#ck. My PCTV card came with the 5.1 drivers. After not working and locking up, I finally got a new CD from them telling me that me serial numbered card would ONLY work with the 5.2 drivers. And there are no updates available on the web, they sent me a CD (2 weeks later). Mine finally works.

Oh, and my Pinnacle Studio 8 software from Pinnacle, burns more DVD frisbees than good ones. It errors with "unknown error", and there goes $2-$4 every time, and no help from their site. So far I have $38 in frisbees. Pinnacle s#cks @#$%^&$%^$#^$#^$#!!!!!!!!!!
