My router a linksys BEFSR41 DSL router, will not let me send files through aim, log on to x-win and log on to my friend's server(using FTP). Only these programs give me problems (didn't try irc yet)(connection to internet is ok)
AIM gives me a complaint about my firewall sercurity, which makes me suspect it's the router but i may be wrong.
Please help
I'm running on Win 2000 using dsl
routers setting using newest firmware:
computer is in port 1, don't have a static IP
DHCP enable /starting.100/ number of user 1
DMZ at .100
More info will be given upon request
Please help
Thank you
My rigs if it helps
(In X-win i tried using the proxy ip, and still didn't work)
individually the programs are giving me problems. (i'm not trying to run them all at once)
I use x-win access my files in my schools server. Dial-up does not give me problems with x-win, but dsl
All machines i'm trying to have access to are not connected through my router.
Not using a static IP, i'm obtaining a ip automatically. Router ip is usually(for linksys) 192.168.1.1
