I have a system a friend upgraded for me. When it boots up it shows a Tyan 1833 2.00.01 with a 440 BX Chipset. A couple of problems. 1st, Tyan's site doesn't show a manual for this board. 2nd, I'm trying to install a slave hard drive and it won't auto detect the drive. The drive is a western digital 60gig. Do I need to purchase an ATA 100 card and install it in order to get the system to recognize this slave drive, or is this board suppose to recognize the drive? I would really appreciate any help.
