So, my rig is a cheapy little thing i've been slowly sinking money into, and kinda cheaped out on the motherboard, but it's rock solid (never had it BSOD, no crashes, my uptime is until the next driver update). ANYWAY. It's a Biostar P4VMA-M, I wouldn't recommend it for gaming, as it's not so great at that, but if you need to keep a rig running forever, it works good. So, it's based off of the PM800 chipset, I believe. Which is VIA. So, originally I experienced this problem after upgrading to SP2, (i'll post exact pics later, print screen most DEFINATELY dosen't work). So, I un-installed it, and slapped SP1 on this badboy, problem solved. Now, later, i've installed the latest VIA 4-in-1 Hyperion crap and had the same problem... So, it said something about SP2 and I installed that just for the hell of it, and i'm still getting the same issue. Now, i'm not really sure what's causing it, but basically my start bar is the internet/outlook icons over and over until I actually run over the icon, then it displays proberyly. My start-bar displays completely, and one-hundred percent correct. My background, at bootup, is fine, but until I start opening/closing/maximizing/minimizing windows, it goes nuts and turns into a bunch of lines over and over, whilst my icons, even at bootup, only certain ones are just jaggy little white-noise-ish pictures. Any ideas? Help? I've tried old/new drivers and nothin' seems to be working.
