I read the part where it says Congress shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion. What part did you read?

What part of Christianity forces people to wear the 10 Commandments? I don't recall Jesus making such a requirement, but I do recall Him condemning those who make a Show of their Religion.

if our laws were based off the ten commandments, why was it selected ten commandments? is it because it's just common sense, and would hurt others? why is it not illegal to say "god damn" or "jesus christ"? why is it not illegal to have affairs while being married? why is it not illegal for people to have their own religions which employ "idol worship"? why is it not illegal to work on sunday? btw, did they really have 7 day work weeks back in pre 0 AD? if not, then we see classic examples of man contorting religion to suit his needs, which i believe is rampant in books such as the bible etc...

although there is coincidence in our laws and the ten commandments, they are laws because they are sound, as well as common sense. if god didn't say thou shalt not kill, you think it would be okay to kill someone?
