It's eMinebea.

A little OT - the Scythe Gentle Typhoon is made by Nidec and is of very high quality. I wish they made a 3000 RPM version with PWM. That would be the holy grail of fans IMO.

They do, but I expect you'd have to special order that PWM function. Oh, and there is a 2150 rpm version of the "low Speed" model.

I can't find any comparisons of fans specifically comparing static pressure, seems like the majority if not all of the few fan reviews out there are just treated as case fan performance rather than for heatsink or radiator applications.

The only comparison I could find that's vaguely remotely aiming at this is a review comparing LGA 1366 heatsinks in which they added a small fan comparison article comparing these fans:

Yate Loon D12SH-12 120x120x25mm (88 CFM @ 40 dBA)
Scythe Kaze-Jyuni Slip-Stream SY1225SL12SH 120x120x25mm (110.31 CFM Advertised @ 37.0 dBA)
CoolAge SX2 CA-120SX2 120x120x38mm (80 CFM Advertised @ 32 dBA)
Scythe Ultra Kaze DFS123812H-3000 120x120x38 (133.6 CFM @ 45.9 dBA)

The Yate Loon D12SH seems to rival them and it's 120x120x25 which is a plus.
I've also heard good things about the Noctua NF-P12 and Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225C12B5AP-15 fans.

So I'm stuck trying to decide between the Yate Loon D12SH, Noctua NF-P12 and Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225C12B5AP-15 based off mostly suggestions from various forums, I dislike not having a solid scientific comparison in front of me then again they all probably perform equally well.
At least I'm getting somewhere, maybe.

at a given CFM in open air, static pressure is a function of blade pitch. the shallower the blade pitch (and by extension, the larger the blades) the more the static pressure.

dunno why he's saying a scythe slipstream wont work well on heatsinks. but a gentle-typhoon might be a better choice.

the only REALLY bad for heatsinks fan i can think of atm was the old design of noctua's. the strait blade ones.
