Big bopper to March hair...we have a cop killer
My babys at the Dyno right now finishing it's run in and final tune (mainly rejetting the carb to suit the lumpy cam) and then it's off to the muffler shop to quieten the old girl down a bit..it does sound sweet but it's a bit hard on the ears.
And then to dig up the funds to put a some paint on it(it's in primer at the moment)

Before you get some sort of crazy idea that this isn't stumps, you're right. I'm his mate,
Stumps is on the crapper right now, and as such has left his computer unattended, so I thought I would take this opportunity to fill you in on some of the other crap he's been spinnin.
while his father does have an XD Faimont, it does not have a worked 302 putting out 380hp at the wheels and a 150hp NOS kit and gets about 30miles to the gallon, as anyone who knows anything about cars would know, anything approaching 1hp per cubic inch in those old clevos is going to make them a pretty grumpy gas guzzler!
To make his claimed horsepower he would need to be producing peak power at approx 7000 - 7500rpm and as such would need a very wild cam, heavily ported heads, a high rise single plane manifold and a rather large square bore carby. The hardware I have just mentioned is desighned to be effeciant at wide open throttle and high rpm, and as such fuel atomisation would be greatly compromised at cruize speeds.
No the XD is only very mildly modded and would probably only be putting out abou 250hp at the flywheel, it does not keep up with Ferrari's at 270km/h and it certainly does not lap eastern creek raceway as fast as a GT3 Porche.
Likewise much of what he has said about his XC is untrue too.
Anyways I better get off now before he catches me but before I go, I would Like to tell you to all start calling him AKROID!!!!
