I give up !

I have 2 win98se and 2 winXP machines set up on a workgroup, connected via a 8 port hub.

The win98 machines don't see any other computers in Network Neighborhood.
All computers can be found when i use Find | Computer. The network printers also work.
Internet sharing also works.

The winXP machines find the workgroup computers in My Network Places, but its Extremely Slow, especially between winXP & 98 machines. I have 2ghz+ machines, surely it cant be so hard or take so long.

What protocol should i use ? (currently using TCP)

What should i set where to make this simple network work ?

Do you have Netbios running along with TCP/IP? It is needed to use computer names on the workgroup with Win 98 computers.

Netbios ? ok what do i do to run it, and where do i get it.
