Homeland seasons 1-4!

I'm done with homeland. Series 1 was good, but series 2 and now 3 are just thinly veiled anti-Iran propaganda - a Neo Cons wet dream. The whole plot just seems to want to present Iran and Hezbollah as the big bad guys, with little mention of the event that caused the attack on the CIA - the Israeli attack on Irans civilian infrastructure which killed as many people as 9/11. No mention of the fact in reality all 16 US intelligence agencies are agreed Iran has no nuclear weapons programme and that in effect attacking another countries civilian infrastructure is just an act of terrorism. Where is the blame and recriminations against the Israelis? Now the Islamophobic tone continues, coupled with poor acting and the boring storyline and its time to give up with this series. Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, even Board Walk are on a whole different level.

You also cannot be the opposite end of the spectrum declaring Israel evil... unless you offer us some free ipods.

This season has been slow to develop but I'm hoping Saul is about to do something epic. There's been enough hints toward that up to this point

This week's episode had me bored and annoyed. Clearly the writers have run out of plot devices and are stuck in 'character development' mode. Problem is, I no longer care about the characters.

Pretty boring start to the season so far. I'm sure glad there was no Dana in last night's episode, there was far too much of her in the first two episodes. However Carrie being locked up sucks and it just makes me feel uncomfortable and I kind of don't care about Brody enough to worry whether he is going to be caught out there in the big bad world.

I'm assuming we will get some more understanding on who these guys are that are determined to keep Bordy alive and with them. Could be interesting I guess. Mostly though I wish Carrie would get out and be able to go on some missions or something. At the very least give us more Quinn doing that stuff so we can get a bit of excitement injected into the show.

So far, this season has been awful. The Brody family segments have always been tedious and annoying, but never more than in the first two episodes of this year. What remains has been a reshashed "Carrie has a breakdown" story line.

Genuinely terrible.

Yeah, it is a snooze fest.

To return to something I posted earlier, several of the show's creators have either left or, in the case of Henry Bromell, died. To me you can really tell. The show just seems aimless at this point.

It's kind of the same reason I watch The Walking Dead. It's not really good anymore, but every once in a while they have a good episode and I've waded through so much crap that I might as well watch the next one to see what happens.

Yeah I agree with that. I mean I watched Dexter to the very end, so who am I to complain.

Even the worst of Dexter was better than this season of Homeland. I honestly can't remember another show that fell off this far this quickly.

I am very happy that stuff is actually happening now. I really have no idea where the Dana storyline is going. I have a feeling Brody will be back in the US this season, so maybe they're setting this up to force his escape from Caracas and journey back to America. The boyfriend will kidnap/threaten to kill/kill Dana and Brody will go back for his daughter.

Yeah this last episode was a total snooze-fest until the very end. I kind of saw it coming to be honest and was happy it did.

The whole Dana arc is pretty lame so far though.

Huh, I actually really liked the last night's episode. As I was watching, even before the revelation at the end, I was liking how things were going. Carrie finally about to get out, Saul and the translator chick doing some actual sleuthing, the only stuff I did not care about was Dana of course.

I'm hoping now we will finally get to see them do some actual work and catch some bad guys.

Yup really liked last nights episode.. Something actually happened! I could really use less of Dana, though. Ugghh
