Hot deal for ColumbiaHouse members

For those of you that still buy cd's
For any Columbiahouse members (you have already fulfilled your obligations).
Currently their promotion is buy a cd at regular price, get one free, then get unlimited cd's for $2.99.
If you can find cd's that you like and get 10+ this works out to about 6 dollars per cd (s/h included in that price)
However, I'd act soon because their new promotion is coming soon which is save 2/3 on a cd which works out to about 7.50 bucks a cd i think.
(s/h is a pain otherwise an average of 4 bucks a cd would rock)

Nothing special. They have this offer, or an equivalent, all the
time. (Buy 1, get 4 free, 80% off, etc.).

This is a decent deal in an absolute sense, but it's not a particularly
hot deal for ColumbiaHouse.com

agreed, the shipping is a big rip off.
The thing that caught my eye though was unlimited. Usually their deals are only good for 4-5 cd's max. Afterwards you would have to place another order and start the deal over again. I think this is probably the best deal I've seen as far as absolute prices, (if only they'd cut s/h a little or at least give a discount for more cd's. (I am curious how much it would take to send a cd at the post office and how much of the s/h is handling.

MOST of the shipping & handling from the record clubs is handling.

The worst deal for them is when you buy a single CD. It turns to almost
all handling as the number of CDs you buy increases.
