now i understand the art of pricematching.
hot tip: don't go to a mule for a pricematch. look for someone you can kick a decent conversation with before you try doing any stunts, otherwise it's going to cause either gray hairs, or turn into a waste of time. i'm hell bent on screwing best buy at this point for every rebate/coupon offer i see.

meticulous about keeping copies and following rebates... you have to be... post its all over my shelves at work :disgust:

my microsoft intellieye mouse broke down, usb issues after a year. it's less than 5 years old, so rest assured i'm bitching at microsoft about it.

but until then, i'm going to bestbuy tommorrow to do this deal again with a different address. it's still valid, staples has it listed until (dec 28th?) at this price, for pricematching to bestbuy.

I take the product, ask for manager and tell him that i want to PM the product. Worked all times. They have a form, filled in the info about product and few personal info. u can put bogus... cos' nobody really check them out. Manager signes the form and voila...

U take the form + product at the cashier and pay... rebate comes out from the printer, everything is smooth ... no angry ppl, no hmmmmm's no nothing... just smiles and at "have a good one" ... i allways reply with.... "you just made my day"

there are currently 2 rebates which print out, but you can do both of them - and they total to $15. Make sure you read the rebate coupon carefully, those bastards are NOTORIOUS for printing you expired rebates. The real rebate forms are out there... just make sure you get them.

Staples will be keeping the cheap price up until the end of December.

BestBuy employees:
1.) don't know what a pricematch is
2.) won't pricematch 110% as per website, unless you bring in proof. Staples sells for $14.94 and they pricematched to $14.99... wasn't in the mood to argue about 5 cents and tax and 10% I was losing. The chick at the register was fly, and pleasant. Didn't feel like being a d!ck.

You guys that have hassels with the pricematch, read Pelikanbird's post. I have never had a hassel, but I have never asked a cashier for a pricematch. Get a manager in that department, take the form to the cashier, and it's just like any other purchase.

the cashier's have the form, and when they take it to a manager it's always at risk of being denied. then again i go with web printouts, not circulars. someone slap me.

one best buy was sold out and i drove across town to get to the other one; call before going for availability. or order online, get 2 business day shipping, and go in the store to get a pricematch and rebate printout.

Best Buy's pricematching leaves me a little uneasy, as they treat it as a return of the original transaction # and a repurchase at the lower price with a new transacton #. It wouldn't matter if it was a manufacturer's rebate, but this is a Best Buy-sponsored rebate verified by the transaction # (hence, only photocopy of UPC required).

I have never pricematched before so I am not sure how to go about it?? BB has it for $19.99 after $10 MIR. Staples has it for $14.94 aftar $15 MIR. There are no Staples stores in Houston.

It was easy enough. Bought it at the register, walked back to the returns sticking the $10 & $5 rebates in my pocket. Gave the returns person a copy of Staple's page and got $18 back.

yes it is a USB mouse, optical. with a cool new ALT-TAB button built into it, which doesn't come on mice standard.

if you only see a $10 rebate in the flyer no sweat, go to the register when you buy it you will get a $10 rebate form and a $5 rebate form. just check dates on the form to make sure they're valid, keep asking for rebate forms till you get $15 worth of valid dated rebate forms to fill out.

this offer goes till January 21ish, but Staples stop pricing this product at their crazy discount ($14.94) until Dec. 31. Supplies seem to be limited B&M style, I recommend ordering online to save headaches - and pricematching in store while doing in store pickup.

To pricematch, just tell anybody (preferably manager) that you want a competitor 110% pricematch. They know what you're getting at... they have a pricematch policy which they must honor...


I think I have officially adopted this deal and kept it bumped and rolling, haha... all y'all thank me and pelikanbird for your mices when u get em free

pricematch 110% only if you buy at staples and bring in the receipt to bestbuy, they will adjust your purchase from bestbuy.
then go return at staples.

i hate that bullsh!t.

maybe i'll do that when i need to screw those bastards over...
