Received my XPS420 yesterday (1/23) It came with the 425w PS.

I ran CPUZ to check on the specs and the 800mhz DDR2 (3gig's) is running at 6-6-6-18. Is there anyway to speed this up? Or would buying lower latency ram be better?

425w PS confirmed over here...

unfortunately, can't tighten the timings with Dell Bios but at least its 800 (not 667) ram.

Why is everyone complaining about the 425 watt power supply???

You will not need a new one for an 8800gtx!!
I have a 375 watt dell psu with my xps410 and I am running an 8800gt.

My 375 watt has dual 18V rails. Please check the sticker on the side of the psu before bitching about it being crappy.

BTW most dell bioses are crippled. There are no options for overclocking, adjusting memory timings, and such.

i hope i didn't come across like i was complaining, i was just confirming to others what PS comes with the DELL XPS 420 since some were worried that it would come with a 375W but even that IMO is just fine for 8800GT
