As I said before nothing is 100%.

Why do you think the truck managed to get through with a trailer full of illegal's?

(hint: The border patrol is stretched too thin to properly protect the border.)

hint: they can't actually check every truck. it will slow down the border to the point it causes economic damage and you are completely wrong. In fact something like that was recently attempted, I don't even think it checked every commercial truck, but more than usual. And it backfired. Can you admit you don't know what you are talking about?

See what the fascist governor of Texas did recently, Abbott. He was being pissy about something and he asked the Border Patrol to start examining way more vehicles and trucks than they had historically. Guess what happened? It slowed the border crossings down to a crawl, causing tons of losses in produce and food products stuck there. Abbott actually caused supply chain issues for Americans by being a douche and doing what you think is smart.

Not only were Mexicans pissed, but some of Abbott's allies:

"We are supporters of Governor Abbott, but unfortunately we weren't taken into consideration," said Ernesto Gaytan, chairman of Texas Trucking Association, who said he'd been fielding calls from frustrated drivers since the order took effect.

Gaytan said migrants rarely tried to cross the border illegally via commercial trucks at legal ports of entry.

"Slowing down trade isn't the solution."

A Texas DPS spokesperson said that since Abbott's order was issued, the agency had inspected nearly 2,400 commercial vehicles and taken 552 vehicles out of service for "serious safety violations" such as defective brakes, tires and lighting.... [but no migrants apparently]

....Dante Galeazzi, president of the Texas International Produce Association, said the delays at the Pharr bridge alone had, since Friday, prevented an estimated $30 million of fresh produce from reaching the U.S. side.

"There are very likely to be store shelves devoid of fresh produce items this Easter holiday weekend
," he said, warning that prices would rise for consumers if the delays continued.

It's a little odd to say the border is out of control because the border patrol is arresting more people. Wouldn't that mean it was more under control?

No. Just because they are arresting more doesn't equate that it is more under control when the numbers have gone so high.

Just for numbers say 100 people a day are attempting to cross illegally and the patrol are arresting 20 of them leaving 80 getting in illegally.

Then it goes up to 200 a day are attempting illegal entry and they are catching 40 of them leaving 160 getting in illegally.

I had a friend in CBP at San Ysidro and they encountered human smuggling like this all the time. This is certainly bigger than what they saw usually but this sort of thing is not uncommon.

Maybe you should send that information to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. So far what this Admin has / is doing isn't working and seems to be making it worse.

yes, the apprehension numbers are getting up there, job security for those border patrollers.

They may even top Clinton, who you voted for 2x according to you.

If you’re looking to blame somebody Senate conservatives over the past 20 years is where you’d want to head.

To be perfectly honest Congress, Senate and the Presidents have failed in this regard without passing legislation to correct the immigration problem / crisis.

Obama and senate republicans came to a bipartisan deal to both improve legal immigration and border security. House republicans refused to even bring it to a vote because they were afraid it would pass.

Actually house conservatives. They killed the last immigration reform bill.

My recollection is that Sessions and company sank the last deal prior to Trump (who magnificently screwed his own deal later).

edit: looked it up and you are correct, House that time.

Well according to the Texas Border Patrol, this increase in checking commercial vehicles by Abbott to be spiteful, did not seem to yield lots of smuggling humans, they only announced finding safety issues. And, it simply is too much to handle, as evidenced by the ire of groups on both sides, and simply causing produce to rot.

Sessions fucked MaryJane users as AG by withdrawing an Obama era directive on the feds not prosecuting marijuana charges, and Congress was pretty close to passing something too after that, but it never happened.

As Senator he was one of the 2 or 3 that sank Obama's crime bill that Trump later passed.

Are you claiming trucks like this didn’t get through before? That seems very unlikely.

No I didn't say or imply that. It is a well known fact that they have gotten through all along and many have died from being abandoned...

Deaths crossing the border is at a high level however trucks or not.

Including those found dead in a truck Monday, 290 people have died trying to cross the border in 2022.

So the past 4 pages are almost all immigration posts...

Can we get back on track here and discuss how the libruul mainstream media has jettisoned the actual evidence of criminal conspiracy to focus on irrelevant information so that they can continue selling as many dick pills and reverse mortgages as possible to the widest possible audience?

either way. check more trucks. Did you even read the article I posted? Even checking many more trucks fucked up the border crossing. Just admit what you want is not a reasonable solution. It was just attempted and backfired and all the damage Abbott caused to the supply chain down there, dumb conservatives would be like OMG JOE BIDEN!

I never said the border is out of control because the border patrol is arresting more people. That was not my metric. That was a statement you pulled out of your buttocks.

I just refuted it with the post you responded too.

Sounds like Obama and the Senate were all ready to fix the problems at the border. House Republicans refused.

It’s okay to put the blame where it lies.

What a killjoy, you want to take away one of the few semi-legitimate platform goals away from the GOP. They got abortion out of the way. Can't take another wedge issue from them. Must have THE OTHER to run against.
