A friend of mine had 2 small hard drives with 2 partitions on each drive for a total of 4 partitions.
I installed a new Western Dig. 20 gig drive on his older AMD K6-2, 500mhz system using the Data Tools that come with the drive.
During the "Copy Partition" process I was dealing with c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j drives and inadvertently copied drive "d" info to drive "e" partition. Now the utilities, shortcuts, etc that were pointing to Drive D return an error message. If it were just a cd drive letter, etc, I know how to change that, but is there a solution as easy as just renaming the 2 partitions I mis copied? It's not a problem to re-format and re-copy, I'm just hoping to save some time. I have an old version around here somewhere of PartitionMagic 4.0 but am not sure if I can just rename a partition.....
Sorry for the ignorance and thanks in advance for all help and suggestions...
