Hi all,
My 2nd 4890 GPU arrived today and before I attempt to install it, I wanted to clear up some questions.
Each card came with (1) crossfire bridge cable; and each card has (2) crossfire ports on top. So, do I need to use both cables to connect both sets of ports? Or, is just one cable used, and if so... which set of ports?
Next up, regarding connecting power. My PSU has three PCI-E "bundles" with each bundle having two PCI-E connectors each. The 4890's each require two connectors. Does it matter which PCI-E connectors I use with each video card? Should I give each card it's own wire bundle and its associated two PCI-E connectors? Or is it better to have each wire bundle have one connector on each card? Kinda hard to explain but I hope it makes sense.
Thanks in advance.
