you must remove the motherboard from the case first of all, then look on the BACK of the motherboard and you will see the backs of the little white tabs. Take a pair of VERY THIN needlenose pliers or hemostats, and gently squeeze the lock tabs together so you can push the tab back out the hole. They are reusable, so dont lose them. Are ya gonna add a little paste and better cooling to your northbridge? Easy job, just take your time. It's usually worth a few MHZ.

yeah i heard there wasn't any paste...wondering if it will stabilize my system using fsb settings...worth a shot...and it'll be fun...

Sure would have been a help to me a few weeks ago. Sucks,they way u get jumped on by a few as a newbie. Don't get me wrong alot of nice helpfull folk on here also. But like I have said in the past we r going 2 miss out on a great deal.( Vote on it @ the end of the year kind ). Reason the person would be afraid to post after reading some of these threads.
I think it will help STOP some of the crap like Magikal thing going on now. I am not knocking u Magikal in no way.In fact I do agree with some of what u r saying. Well my post is getting 2 long here so I will stop. That is this man's 2 cents anyway.
