How do you make .pdf's?

Like what program? I tried using full-blown Acrobat, but it really wasn't any good. Right now we use a ghetto solution of making a diagram or form in Visio and then converting it. Anyone know a better way?

you can use pagemaker 6.5 with the distiller plug in, works quite well, once you get all the bugs out.

pdf files are made from Adobe Acrobat. That's the best program you're going to find for it. What version were you using?

I use PDF distiller. It is a program that easily converts any document to PDF format. You install the application as a printer, and then, in your respective program, you can "print" to distiller. Bingo, you have a PDF file! Mine came with adobe pagemaker. I'm sure you can find it on the net somewhere.

Another program would be PDFConverter. Same sort of deal. Here is the companies address:

how can Adobe's own product suck? PDF are acrobat and adobe

if you dont like adobe acrobat, you can try EasyPDF, which is just like acrobat but simpler to use, other than that you can use converters like others mentioned, a good refernece site to find all kinds of PDF solutions and software is PDF Zone

I have not used this utility, but I've heard good things about it from several online acquaintances, so this is sort of a second-hand recommendation.

And since it's free, the product is certain to be worth every penny you pay for it.
