i just heard linus call it "ah-nahnd-tech", but i have always pronounced it "uh-nand-tech" with a 2nd short a.

like saying "a NAND gate", but tech instead of gate.

I am not Indian. I did have an Indian friend with a similar name, Ananda. To her the closest pronunciation is "ah-nuund" (like a nun in a convent), but she also accepted "ah-naand" (like the bread naan).
