How do you study?

I was just curious at ATers study? What kinds of techniques do you use to study? What works, what doesn't?

Memory cards?
Repetition?

What weird thing do you do to help you learn, memorize things?

I just read the text book slowly and carefully, skim through class notes, and go over solutions to old homework problems

I don't really have memorization classes, I have equation and technical classes, so I just do a bunch of problems that cover one topic and usually I remember the important steps and can do any of those types of problems. (cookie cutter approach)

I don't! Just kidding. Actually I take really good notes in class, and really pay attention to the material that we cover. Then all I need to do is review the notes for a refresher, and that works!

Depends on the class. Usually a combination of good listening skills while in class and a good memory when reading the assignments was more than sufficient for getting good grades in classes that didn't have any sort of problems or calculations.

For those the lecture and a few practice problems was good enough. I have a very good memory - when it comes to learning - and I retain and recall things quite well. I could get away studying a fraction as much as many other people in the classes that I was in.

I try to really pay attention is class, and if I didnt understand a concept in class, review it that night. Reading the text is ok, but not that useful for me. Best things is (and I assume you mean math/science) do lots of problems; ones you think will be one the tes or at least similar, and especially ones you dont understand

study smart is easy. just get to know yourself. never use the technique that is not for you.

as for myself, I study a couple of days before the exam or assignments since I have extremely bad attention span problem and extremely good short term memory and fast brain and capablity to stay up 48 hours straight. I get distracted very easily if I know what I am doing is not an emergency but I can really force myself into it if I have no choice (born with it. even before I remember anything.).

My way works for me. I know it'd be a lot better if I can do things evenly but that's just not me.

The only way I can study is if there are notes made for me by the teacher or someone else.

Since I never pay attention in class I can't take notes, and textbooks always bore me.
