How does Pay Pal work?

I'm wondering how Pay Pal works. I can't find any information on PayPal's website oddly enough. All it says is "Send money instantly yada yada yada". Yet no information on what I have to actually do.

You sign up, give either a CC or bank account, and each time you send money it detracts it from either account.

I really don't understand people's grip here about paypal, it works. If you want to send money, it does. What more can you ask for?

I have never had any trouble w/ paypal at all. All you do is create an account and add your credit card to it. Every time you spend they charge your credit card (Not a cash advance). Then you pay it when the bill comes like anyother charge. You get a set limit w/ credit cards and then they want you to enter your bank account and do direct withdrawl for a larger limit.

When you recieve money you ask paypal to write you a check which they mail to you in a few days. People get angry because this free service uses their money while it is sitting in their accounts. I say if it doesn't cost me anything and I don't lose any money in the transfers it can't be a bad thing.

I know a lot of people hate it. But it works for me, it's free and it just makes my life easier.

I just got a Paypal account. I transfered about a hundred dollars from my bank account to the paypal account since I do not own a credit card. The question is, can I "send" more money than I transfered? Let's say I have a 150 dollar balance and I send 200 dollars, do I need to transfer another 50 bucks or do they deduct it from my bank account?

ucan send for whatever u have only in your account

example if u got $100 in yoru paypal account u can only send $100

if u want to send more deposit more $ into paypal or use a credit card

Now you can only receive $100 in a month for a Personal account, which is garbage. Cancelling my account as soon as I straighten out a couple deals.
