105MPH on my bike. No wind present, just good ol engine power pushing her along.

All bikes have very unaccurate speedos. I guess manu's got tired of being sued?
At 105MPH (actual speed, calculated by Sigma sport computer), my speedo showed
115MPH.

We should start a thread for who has been the fastest in a vehicle with the least
amount of horse power. 105MPH with 28HP.

160 mph a few times, in various Beemers and Benzes (not my cars though). It's perfectly legal here, so it's kinda boring

It was 1982, on a 1979 Honda CB 750 SuperSport, twin overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, state of the art back then.
Speeds in excess of 125 MPH, that's what the Highway Patrol Officer said

<< Driving more than 130 mph in an american car that has a motor which blocks driving faster than a certain speed ... yeah, right.
Most people seem not even to know about this little feature of their cars .... tss, tss
>>

And some people do know about such features and do something about it .

<< i once did 100m in 14 seconds flat >>

That's pathetic. But I digress.

24 mph on foot
58 mph in a Chevy Metro
101 mph in a Saturn SC2 (my brother's nearly-free piece of crap)
105 mph in a Jeep Cherokee 4.0L I6 (crappy old piece of crap)
109 mph in a Ford Focus ZX3 (governed)
148 mph in an Audi S4 (friend's car)
161 mph in a slightly modified E36 (previous generation) BMW M3 (my dad's car)
176 mph in a heavily modified BMW M635CSi (my car)
185 mph in a heavily modified Lotus Elise 190R Sport (for racing)
194 mph in a Ferrarri F550 Maranello (belongs to a friend's father...I wish it was mine)

120ish mph 96 Galant.
Had a bit more to go, but got scared.
I think it maxes out at around 120.

I was surpriced to see my Galant do that speed.

How far we gonna go back? . . . way back.

120 in my 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix (400 small block)
135 in my 1996 Mustang GT (5.0, you know)
130 in my 1970 Buick Riviera (455 baby!) all praise sam winston!
130? in my 1988 Ford Thunderbird (5.0, also!) speed governor.
140 in my 1967 Buick Riviera (430 Big Block!) Speedo' goes up to 140.

These were all about ten to seventeen years ago. I'm 34 now.

Just this last August I went to Hot August nights in reno with the '67 Riv and got into a race with a newer vette, straight going downhill. Don't know the year but it had the square tail-lights. Let's just say he only got about a half a car length in front of me. That was fun. Real fun. Probably going about 150+.

The scary part was slowing down, I wish I had brakes like the vette did.

Edit: The '67 Riv is all I have now, but it's also all I need. (Besides a Accord and a Avalon. Haven't tried those yet.)
