This benchmark simulates user actions for adding, completing, and removing to-do items using multiple examples in TodoMVC. Each example in TodoMVC implements the same todo application using DOM APIs in different ways. Some call DOM APIs directly from ECMAScript 5 (ES5), ECMASCript 2015 (ES6), ES6 transpiled to ES5, and Elm transpiled to ES5. Others use one of eleven popular JavaScript frameworks: React, React with Redux, Ember.js, Backbone.js, AngularJS, (new) Angular, Vue.js, jQuery, Preact, Inferno, and Flight. Many of these frameworks are used on the most popular websites in the world, such as Facebook and Twitter. The performance of these types of operations depends on the speed of the DOM APIs, the JavaScript engine, CSS style resolution, layout, and other technologies.

Core M-5Y10c @ 52.02

Images aren't necessary, but please state your cpu speed. The web browser of your choice. Mine is Edge 83. Thank you.

Interesting to try. 87.87 in Chrome and 97.44 In Edge. RX 5700. Also curious as to why this is in the CPU forum if it is more GPU related? Tried Firefox, 105.

Ran this on my second monitor while watching a twitch stream.

Windows 10 1909 x64

Firefox 76.0.1 - RX580

Edge 83 - RX580

Edge 84 - RX580

Why is this is in the CPU section ?
Because, we're CPU bottlenecked before anything else.

2.00 Ghz 52.84
3.70 Ghz 95.1

This test is perfect for ST benching. GPU isn't that important as long as its HW accelerated, i.e. compatible drivers installed.

Chrome Canary (85) ~100; Edge Dev (84) is now ~110. Firefox coming in the 3rd place with ~90.

Edge 84 is the fastest in this bench, boys and girls.

Makaveli
Can you re-run with Edge 84 vanilla? Thanks.

Not sure if this is a good or bad score I'm gonna assume bad based on other posters scores though. I use the latest version of Chrome with some extensions enabled. Anyway, here is my score for better or worse I guess.

Extensions definitely effect your scores, that's why its best to disable everything before running this benchmark. They all take CPU cycles. 30 is a little on the low side, considering your CPU is still decent, how does your chrome://gpu look like? Maybe try forcing GPU acceleration on it? via chrome://flags. Force everything you can so it looks like this. You might still have some red flags left and that's fine.

This is like golf right? So lower is better?

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz

VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)

Will try home machine another time when I'm home.
Oh god, what are you running there? A TI calculator?

Something's wrong, well... this is what happens when you don't have compatible VGA drivers installed. CPU can't do everything alone these days.

latest Chrome under Windows 10 1909 x86, C2D e7300 (2.66GHz), GMA 950 IGP 24.20
Edge (old one, not Chromium) 18.1

not as bad as I expected given how slow the UI performance is on this PC.

Edge 84 (Dev) channel is the fastest in this test, just so you know, regardless of your CPU/GPU combo.

Not bad at all, myself still running a T7600 with GMA 950, very similar to your box. Still very much usable. Let me bench it in a moment.

Office grade laptop, so yeah, kind of a piece of crap on performance side. That and I'm running Linux (this is a secondary machine not my main one) and Linux seems to suck in the hardware acceleration department and won't really take full advantage of GPU hardware, so I bet on my home machine with an actual good GPU I won't get any better.

Same CPU, Pentium G3258 with Intel iGPU at 4.2G

Chrome, disabled all Chrome extensions and did a retest

Chrome based MS Edge is actually a bit slower. Also no extensions.

Firefox is slow as hell.

Thanks for the scores. It looks like only Edge 84+ (dev channel) has those improvements that result in ~10% speed advantage over Chrome 85. Make sure you are on the dev channel. Makaveli confirms it. But yeah, user experience is very similar. Edge does eat less into your ram, though.

i7 8850H on a MacBook Pro 15" 2018 running latest Safari and Catalina.
Not a lot. Haswell at 3.7Ghz gets you ~110 score in Edge 84 and your boosting much higher than that.

Much better, anything above 40 leads to decent web browsing, in my experience.

Because, we're CPU bottlenecked before anything else.

I monitored my CPU voltage, usage and clock speed during the benchmark, and the workload was very minimal. My CPU never even hit turbo clock frequency, which is 4.2ghz. It looked like it was ranging anywhere from 1.2 to 3.2ghz with voltage below 1.000v for the most part.

If you are using adaptive voltage like I am, you will probably score less in this benchmark. My first run was 98.
