I am not saying it's wrong if someone near average wants to gain a little extra height, but I think people really need to think this through and weigh the risks and benefits.

move somewhere that has a lower average height. here in az, i walk into most stores and its me in a sea of short guys. for the most part, its an ethnically "mexican" neighborhood and ive noticed many are under 5'5". i kind of feel out of place most of the time. not that i mind, 6'3" is a great height to be, i like it.

omg this always pissed me off. most places ive lived before i bought a house had showers set up for 5'5" people. sucks having to lean over to get your shoulders wet, let alone wash your hair

If I were any taller, my only job option would be in a circus

6'4"+ here

On the plus side, having long legs and long arms means everything else is long too

Why would you tolerate that? It's too easy to fix the problem.

One of these is a cheap and easy fix:

and use your existing shower head.

OR, if you want the kind with a shower head:

(I've used one of these for years)

5'10.5"

Perfectly satisfied. I think it's a generally average height (as also indicated by the poll), and most things are designed with my height in mind.

I am 5'1 and I am okay with my height. It does suck having to get somebody to help me pick things up from a high shelf though.

i used to borrow my friends fiat bertone for giggles. id have to take the targa top off, not wear my boots and wear sunglasses since my head was up over the windshield. it was fast tho, felt like driving a gokart at 80 on the freeway.

5'* or 5'(, so voted with the 1/2. I'm pretty content, taller than lots of people but I still wear heels

I'm a little over 6'8. My wing span is about 7'.

Mom is 6'1 and dad is 6'1, so it was bound to be this way. All in all I have no complaints. Extreme height can be a good ice breaker, and generally make women kind of curious. Buying shoes and jeans is kind of a bitch, but t-shirts are by far the worst. I have a longer torso, but am somewhat skinny, usually wearing a Large...but sometimes the shirts aren't long enough A 38" inseam and 36" waste make jean and short buying rather tricky

All in all, I love my height.

Clothes are by far the most annoying aspect. I have XL sized arms and shoulders, but M/L sized torso, which means that for jackets and sweaters I have to choose between looking like I'm wearing a poncho, or rolling up the sleeves because they're too short regardless.

I'm 6'4.5"
I wear New Balance as well. 15 4E.

I can find Reebok, Nike, etc., but they always fall apart and are garbage. New Balance are a lot more comfortable and durable.

What's funny is I can find shoes that fit at Nordstrom, but not any shoe stores... and the big & tall stores only have crappy dress shoes in my size. They carry New Balance but never stock my size.

Martin, one site I found... but haven't ordered from... is http://www.oddball.com/
sizes 14 and 15 are about the smallest they sell. THey have a good selection of large shoes. They are more expensive for New Balance, which is why I haven't ordered there. But if I never need any other type of shoe, I'll probably check there first.

Don't worry. Ask the socially awkward tall guys, and they'll just be happy for female attention.

Quite satisfied with my height. Buying clothes is a little tricky, but well worth the inconvenience.

I wear like 36 length pants, online shopping!! And I buy tall shorts too....American Eagle has like a great selection of tall clothes for tall people! I wear like L-T or XL-T and almost all their shirts have that size available and fairly cheap like $10-$15.

Probably without shoes, I'm 5'2.5. Minus destroying my ability to join the NBA - it really doesn't affect my life. Buying clothes can be annoying - but beyond that I can't really think of what else inconveniances me. I wouldn't mind being taller (but then I'd look like a god damn stick), but it's in the back of my mind.. and I certainly wouldn't go under the knife for that shit.

6'0" without my shoes on. I'm fine with it, though I'm kinda lanky. Lifting weights helps with that a bit, but with my skeletal structure I think I'm always going to be a little thin looking.

Edit: Kinda funny, because I was a humongous baby (almost 11 pounds at birth). My dad insists I must have been a month late.
