Probably without shoes, I'm 5'2.5. Minus destroying my ability to join the NBA - it really doesn't affect my life. Buying clothes can be annoying - but beyond that I can't really think of what else inconveniances me. I wouldn't mind being taller (but then I'd look like a god damn stick), but it's in the back of my mind.. and I certainly wouldn't go under the knife for that shit.
I hope you're either a chick or 13yrs old cus damn you're short.
Genetics are a bitch, kid. Average height of my race is somewhere around 5'7". Thanks for your hopes and dream for me, but seriously, height doesn't factor much to me.
it could get in the way if you wanted to observe a surgery but you couldn't look over the curtain.
lol pwnd
I don't even know how to respond to... omg, did you just quote yourse... h.a.t.e.u.

5'9", 5'10"... can't recall off the top of my head (lol).
I hate the fact that I'm 27 and still shorter than both of my parents, who are both over 6' (my mom is 6' even and my dad is like 6'3")... I think I'm either adopted or a genetic freak. not only am I shorter than them, my black-haired, brown-eyed parents managed to produce a son with blond hair and green eyes
Your dad might really not be your dad.

Its funny how the national average for the US is 5'10, but once you get on Atot, the mean is closer to 6 feet.

Damn guys, height envy much? The average height is influenced by older guys who grew up in times when proper nutrtition was much less likely and people in general were much shorter. And the US has a lot of immigrants who come from poverty and may have the same short stature due to nutrition as people in the US 50+ years ago, on top of being naturally short in stature due to their native central & south American genetics. Obviously members of a tech forum are going to mostly be young and affluent enough to have benefitted from proper nutrition during adolescence.

I've also noticed it. Seems everyone here is at least 6' tall, makes an average of 150k year, has a supermodel wife, has owned multiple homes by age 30, traveled the world, and has a few year's worth of living expenses in the bank.
Ugh. When you type it in google, remember that the last .8 is in feet not inches. 8/10 feet is vastly different from 8 inches.Originally posted by: Svnla

I don't know, I haven't actually been measured in years, nor do I really care that much. A few people here have seen me in real life and they will know whether I am full of it or not.
I still believe I am between 6'0" and 6'1".

Sounds about right from memory when we met. I believe I'm something similar if not a little taller but like you I've never bothered to get myself professionally measured.
Now that I read that it sounds like getting my dick measured or something.

I'm 6'7. I love being tall, but it has drawbacks. Nothing fits. Clothes, shoes, whatever. My hockey skates are 1-2 sizes too small. I duck to go through doorways. Plane rides suck. I don't fit in a lot of cars. I'm tired of scouring the internet for things in my size.
Oh yeah, people are scared of me too. That can be fun though

I'm about 6' 2", maybe 6' 1 3/4". Aesthetically speaking, I wouldn't mind being a couple inches taller, but generally I'm ok with my height. The only times my height can be annoying are in certain showers, depending on the shower head, and my feet hang off the edge of a non-king sized bed if I'm laying on my stomach. Hide and seek isn't quite as fun as it was when I was 5 or so, and could fit into the cupboards in the kitchen, etc., either.
