how to make a boot floppy??

I have windows 2000, i'm gonna be formatting due to hard drive problems. uncached speed sucks, missing 2 gb bc at first i used fat 16 and reformatted went to fat 32. Will windows make a boot floopy for me??

Obtain four blank, formatted, 3.5-inch, 1.44-megabyte (MB) floppy disks.

Insert one of the disks into the floppy disk drive on a computer running any version of Windows or MS-DOS.

Insert the Windows 2000 compact disc (CD) into the CD-ROM drive.

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type d:\bootdisk\makeboot a: (where d is the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive), and then click OK.

Follow the screen prompts.

And BTW, it does take four floppy disks. It might be easier if you have a windows 98 bootdisk lying around. If you're only going to format and reinstall, you need the win2k cd anyways, so it wouldn't matter what you boot with. You can also set-up everything from the win2k cd. It will aks "Do you want to leave the current partition intact?" Tell it no, resize, let it format and you're on your way. Good luck.

you could boot that way or boot from the cd if you can also
