How to OC my M830LR?

I want to oc my athlon 1700xp.. with this MB is there a possible way without doing unlock the CPU?

my system

Athlon 1700xp
pc133 512sd-ram
Voodoo 4500 32mb

No need to unlock since there is no multiplier adjustment, even on the modded BIOSs...just FSB.

I am pretty sure your motherboard : PCCHIPS M830LR = ECS K7S5A . Check out the ECS forum at www.ocworkbench.com for a mod BIOS by Cheapoman and comfirm with someone there if it will work with your board before trying it .

DieHardware... the motherboard can FSB up to 133.. which is normal since Athlon 1700xp = 1460mzh. SO taht isn;t OC.

Modded BIOS gives more options than 100 or 133MHz. So you could still overclock just not with any BIOS or jumper multiplier since there aren't any even in the modded BIOSs

You can flash your M830LR to the latest "Cheepoman" K7S5A Bios (v. chb 1129) from:
OCWorkBench ECSForum
Make sure you use the K7S5A Bios and NOT the K7S5APRO!
I successfully flashed my M830LR about a year ago (v. chb 0429l) and my 1.2G Athlon is running great @ 1350MHz. (150/150Mhz. fsb/cpu).
DieHardware is correct in that you will only have FSB options, but it's better than nothing as this mb is not really designed for the oc'ing crowd.
YMMV with the FSB success, as results are still memory, graphics, psu, cpu and temperature (cooling) dependent.
