That heatsink is loud as hell if I recall correctly (I think that is the one my friend originally had but then got rid of because of the noise). You should do some research and find a quieter heatsink.

Just a few notes.

Great motherboard choice. K7S5A is a top performer. You can get it a few bucks cheaper elsewhere, but since you're getting everything from one place, you can actually save with reduced shipping...

You'll want a different HS/F. I'd recommend the MCX370 (Swiftech) with the Papst fan. Very quiet with excellent cooling performance. Easy as pie mounting system as well. It's a bit pricey ($38 at NewEgg) but worth every cent, IMHO. (Will also keep your CPU considerably cooler than the CoolerMaster you had selected.)

You might want to consider the 1.4GHz Thunderbird. For about $16 more (OEM) you get a better deal. You could probably hit 1.4 with a few tricks on the 1.2, but considering overclocking on K7S5A isn't for novices, you might want to seriously consider the 1.4...

The Enlight 7237 is a nice case, but I don't recommend the default 300w supply. It's an el cheapo with no power off and while it might be "AMD Approved", it is less than stellar. Take a look at the model with the 340w, at a minimum.

Last, but not least, is there any particular reason you chose a Kyro II? Rather dismal performance, IMHO. I'd recommend the Radeon LE with TV-Out (about $80 shipped). Awesome 2D, hardware DVD, and stellar TV-Out.

Unbeatable at being the noiseiest(sp)? If you got the retail chip, you would get a good, decent, and quiet fan. And all together it would be cheaper than getting an OEM chip AND a HSF. Just my opion though.

I'd go for a more powerful and quieter hsf combo....but my budget is very limited....I think I'm gonna go for the Volcano II instead since I've read that's it's a good hsf for no overclocking and it's rated to go to 1.5 ghz....

for $16 more I think I might....thx for suggestion

since I'm only running 1 hard drive...1 cd-rom...floppy...2 case fans...1 fan on cpu....wouldn't a 300 watt be fine?

I went with the Kyro II because on anandtech's review on the radeon le....the Kyro II performed better than the radeon le...even in it's overclocked state w/hyper z....plus I'm not going to be watrching any dvd's and the Kyro II's 2d and 3d quality is pretty decent....also I think that t&l will be a bottleneck for hardwired t&l cards....because their so bandwidth dependant...and I think the 8 layer multi-texturing and tbr will be more useful in the future....I was considering the radeon le also....but for the above reasons I went with the Kyro II...
