Does anyone have this thing yet? I'm having some technical difficulties, which I'm hoping is just related to my lack of knowledge of this tablet.
It's kinda sluggish opening applications, and I can't get hulu streaming to work at all. It's restarted 2 times on me already (while trying to stream a hulu video). I thought I updated it earlier, and it said it was successful, but when I checked the software version I was still on 3.0.0. I'm really hoping that this old version is why it's running so crippled. When I try to update it, it tells me unable to connect, try again later after a couple of minutes. Some others have had this issue, but after a few times trying it they said it would work. Maybe because HP's site is flooded?
I know that netflix is a no-go on this, but does hulu work with the update?
Oh, and when it does play videos full screen (i.e. youtube), it always flips the screen upside down, and you have to hold it backward, with the speakers close to your body. It's strange, because outside of streaming video, it positions any way you hold it. These quirks seem like something an update would fix, but I won't know till the update stops failing.
Is anyone here having these issues, and if you got the update to work, did it fix them?
Out of the box I think they need some tweaking to improve performance as far as I can tell. You should be able to find enough info in the following link to get you going. I'm still waiting for delivery of mine so no hands on other than playing around with it at samsclub.

A local Best Buy manager told me that they are getting more in stock tomorrow morning at our local BB's. She told me it's against store policy for them to hold one for me, but she said she'd text me when they arrive.

Have any of you ordered a Touchpad (or two) from B&N, get charged for the tablet, and then get the order(s) canceled?
Is there a good way to reach them to discuss the matter? I tried service[at]barnesandnoble.com, but I feel like it might be ineffective to inquire about getting my money back.
On the flip-side, I managed to snag one from Erwin computers, but I'd still like to see the $115 back from B&N. I know they charged me for one, due to my bank statement.
Apparently some people with Win 7 x64 couldn't get this WebOS doctor to work without doing the above. It worked for me, and I'm finally updated. That's alright. Not sure if it's still true but it's usually better to put the device into recovery mode before running a doctor, rather than letting it try to reboot the device itself. All you have to do is power off the device, plug in the USB cable, and then power it back on while holding the volume up button in. In addition, you don't have to have the device in developer mode that way.
