Ugh, why did I listen to Best Buy's silly inventory checker! I read that it's not very reliable in regard to the TouchPad, so I went to Best Buy during lunch. It turns out that they had some in and they sold out in half an hour... I could have just stopped by before going into work and I would have easily been in that half hour window.

I haven't received a cancellation e-mail from onSale though... maybe I'm one of the lucky few!

That sucks, it worked for me yesterday, and was actually really accurate, within a couple of minutes of them getting it and when they sold out, it updated right away.

I guess some stores don't bother updating it in the system, or maybe they stopped doing it so the stores wouldn't get rushed.

LOL, after 3 iPads and the rooted and rommed nook color, this is the worst tablet I've used. HP should be ashamed to have released this thing.

It's a good deal for $100, but I can see why it's dead.

Porting Android to these can't happen soon enough.

Turns out BB does have some accessories after all. Just bought a touchstone online for 39.99. Ended up having it shipped to my house as I won't be able to get to the store for a few days. Good thing I didn't used that reward zone cert I had been sitting on. Took another $20 off

Sweet! I finally saw the note that said that Amazon will now show onSale's order number ( I waited for an hour and 10 minutes on the phone trying to get it last night ). I went, checked my order, and to my surprise it says...

How can it be worse than a nook color. A hacked NC is nice and all, but its hardware specs are all behind the TouchPad.

this is a joke right? After the iPad, iPad2s, ASUS Transformer, every Galaxy Tab(new and old gen), a rooted+oc'd Nook Color, etc(I actually had to test web browsing capabilities across a ton of them) this is by far the best tablet OS + UI I have put my hands on. it's a straight steal for under 200 dollars. EVERY Android tab in comparison is straight shit, only the iPad has more finish and at the price lols... No flash? Have to get a shitty 3rd party browser or shitty user-agent to view sites in full mode and even then the whole site is barely supported? lols....

WebOS 3.0 > Android all day. It has the far superior UI and it much easier to develop for.

He's an idiot. I just sold my nook color for what it cost me to get a 32gb TouchPad and I'd never go back. 1ghz overclocked single core, with far less memory, worse flash support, worse response from the screen, it's just no where near as good. For 250 when I bought it I was glad I could get a handheld internet portal for that price, but for the 150 I got my HP there really is no comparison. Even at 250, I'd buy the HP over the Nook Color. PS the dimming controls right at the top one touch away is amazing, sorting through running apps and their organization > every tab/phone OS out atm. How anyone could say any version of Android comes close to WebOS 3.0 is lolsy to me. It's superior imo to iOS, but just lacks the polish of the Apple software which makes sense since Apple has had a lot more time to refine their OS for their devices.
