Huge number of packets sent...

Hi

I have an IBM X22 laptop (running windows XP) and when I look at my "Local Area Connection Status" I see that I have a huge number as my packets sent. Right now I have over 14 trillion and I have been connected for an hour....I'm not doing much with the connection, just browsing the net and using game channel to watch NBA scores.

Is there a virus running? I use Norton and it does not detect anything. Is this normal?

unless your NIC is ALOT faster than normal it can't do that... sounds like bad drivers or tcp/ip stack... try reinstalling both.

Thanks, updating drivers fixed it...
