So I guess we can't have a mature discussion? I'm straight and extremely enjoy having crazy sex with my girlfriend of 4 years. I don't feel ashamed to point out a good looking guy, but the thought of having sex with another man is gross to me. My girlfriend is into the human sexuality field, so she's always discussing matters relating to that. I thought I would throw up this latest bit we were discussing for ATOT to ponder over.

The bottom line is that your correct, your argument makes sense. But bisexuality among men is still something that will probably forever turn men off. It will never again be as it was back in the day, and so we will probably evolve to maybe have more arousal in our penis where it matters

The problem was that your argument is that ALL people are bisexual. No. There is a gradient from straight to gay with a huge line being the actual deed of homosexual sex and another huge line being the enjoyment of it. Women can have sex with another women just to entertain us men but it's another thing for them to enjoy it.

Why did straight men enjoy it before the big religions came into play?

I see a naked woman: hard-on.

I see a naked man: no hard-on.

Why is this such a difficult concept for some people? OP, just because you're obviously bi/curious, doesn't mean everyone is. Sorry to disappoint.

Oh, and DUH.

How are you even making the jump that religion is the reason straight men don't enjoy gay sex? I can't even make that kind of logical jump.

Homosexuality was possibly more socially acceptable in the days of the Romans but where do you see that straight men partook in it?

Oh, and DUH.

Did you not read the end of my post?

"Now I'm not saying saying everyone should have no problem (psychologically) engaging in same sex. Back before Judaism and Christianity, many cultures participated in bisexual behavior. Did everyone participate? No, there were probably straight men who wanted nothing to do with another man. There were also probably homosexual women who were probably disgusted by the sight of naked man."

All I'm saying is that I believe nature wanted to give us the option.

Are you now claiming that pedophilia is part of natural human sexual behavior as well ?

D:

I am yoking...
Strictly speaking, sexual intercourse is meant for reproduction. But having orgasms while being close with someone you like and love will create a strong bonding. Thus sex is also good to keep a healthy relationship between man and woman. Plus regular having sex lowers sexual desires (unless you are a gay man or a hormone crazed teenager) and keeps the mind focused and the body is less active expressing genes to stimulate reproduction. However, not all people are bisexual by nature.

Intermittent side stepping fixed behavior is a good way to test for new environmental changes. Sexual preference does also not have to be the same as sexual orientation. Basically sexual orientation (including transexual behavior) seems to be controlled by neuron clusters inside the hypothalamus. The size and activity control what you find sexually attractive. With me, the buttons of my pants and my belt snap off when tall guitar shaped women in tight clothes pass by. I have been sued in the past by people who got hit by the buttons of my pants or my whipped away belt. :awe:

I believe humans are bisexual creatures. Religion/society has condemned the behavior, but I believe this is still true. Look at the rest of the animal kingdom. You will find that almost every mammal engages in bisexual activity. Our bodies are even setup to engage in same sex. Why is the most pleasurable spot on the female body easily accessible and located OUTSIDE the vagina? Why do males have a pleasurable spot INSIDE their anus? Our sexual organs evolved like this for a reason. If we were created by a supreme being, he obviously wanted to give us the option to partake in bisexual behavior.

This doesn't change the fact that we are born favoring the opposite sex by default. If we weren't, our species would have died off a long time ago. The reason why I believe we are setup for bisexuality is because it is natures way of relieving sexual tension/anxiety. The opposite sex is not always available, so engaging in same sex allows that tension to be released.

Where do homosexuals fit in to all of this? They are born favoring the same sex just as a heterosexuals are born favoring the opposite sex. There is no choice involved here.

Now I'm not saying saying everyone should have no problem (psychologically) engaging in same sex. Back before Judaism and Christianity, many cultures participated in bisexual behavior. Did everyone participate? No, there were probably straight men who wanted nothing to do with another man. There were also probably homosexual women who were probably disgusted by the sight of naked man. The simple fact that society condoned bisexual behavior before any major religions came into play shows that we are bisexual creatures.

I wouldn't say you are completely wrong. The problem with coming up with theories like this is that there is such a huge sample of people that generalities are basically out the door. It's like saying all Lesbians are born that way, when we know that a portion of them move that way from experiences or traumas, etc. I think you could say, because of social norm, many bisexuals will never actually experience bisexual-ism. You just never know. What if society actually matured? Would Kim Kardasian and Lindsay Lohan be in the news all the time cause society wants to know their every move? Shit, I am just mumbling crap now.

Hey, I'm into anything that doubles my chances of getting laid.

Actually, I think homosexuality should be measured on a sliding scale:

How do you know they were straight? How do you know how widespread it actually was? All we know is that it wasn't socially unacceptable.

What you're saying is equivalent to a future civilization concluding that homosexuality didn't exist prior to sometime in the 1960s because it wasn't talked about.

I agree with you. What's really weird is just looking at the physiological factors involved. Makes you wonder why we evolved to have secondary pleasure spots that are easily accessible by both sexes.

So you're assuming that men have a prostate to accommodate a penis? Why can't it be stimulated by a woman's finger?

Ummm, thanks for the permission to bat for both teams, but (and this is NOT denial; wait, is that denial?), I am not interested in cock. I like having one (well, most of the time), but mine only enters women. What you do with yours (within sane & legal bounds) is your business.

OP=Lady Gaga?

George Carlin said this on "bisexuality": "Imagine going through life wanting to fuck every person you meet...sheesh!"

bisexuals either convince themselves that everyone could be gay and thus just need to "fight" the urge enough or they post like the op and pretend its just society...pretty tiresome..
