More like 5-6 daysHarvey is expected to stall about 12 hours from now. It's already moving very slowly...
The three day forecast for Texas: all hurricane, all the time.

The thing is that the storm is large enough that the precise path doesn't matter. It needs only get close to San Antonio to drop a foot or more of rain. So I hope you guys have taken your swimming lessons.I guess we just have no clue man, the forecast changes every 20 minutes.
Mayor of Rockport told people that didn't evacuate to write their name and SS# on their arms. People trapped in houses due to fallen trees and they're not sending emergency crews out b/c it's unsafe.

You folks are screwed. Measuring rainfall by feet and not inches. Heard some areas could remain flooded for a month.
The latest 5-day precipitation outlook from the NOAA/NWS Weather Prediction Center (see Figure 3) projects that an area larger than the state of Massachusetts, including Houston and Galveston, can expect more than 20” of rain between now and Wednesday.
Thanks!
During Tropical Storm Allison we saw 26in at my old house. Watched the waters come 3/4 the way up my front yard before receding.
At this point it's a bit late to drive to anywhere from anywhere...Should I drive to Waco?
Jeff Piotrowski's periscope - he stayed in Corpus and was livestreaming until about 2 hours ago; couple other livestreams in there as well: https://www.pscp.tv/w/1zqKVRbYXWWKB
When Allison hit, I was on driving from Dallas to meet my girlfriend who lived in Pearland. When I got to the Heights just north of downtown Houston, I-45 was a mass of brake lights and there was a line of cars exiting the entrance ramp so I followed them up. 15 minutes later, that spot where I would have been stuck was under 6 feet of water. I ended spending the night parked on an overpass over 45. By the following morning, the water nearly reached the top of a semi that got stuck. People who got of their cars with just the clothes on their back were just walking around the Whataburger, literally looking like complete zombies. There was no way I could make it to Pearland because of all the flooding. When I started driving back to Dallas, each side of 45 became 2 way traffic because you could not get to the other side because of the water. Still amazed that I didn't see any wrecks when that happened...
Overpass, over the side of course :awe:Geez, where did you poop?
