I finally saw Shawshank Redemption :)

Last year I acquired Shawshank Redemption on VCD, well I saw the first cd (2 cds total) and I was like wow this movie looks good, but then when i tried the second cd I noticed it didn't work. A few weeks ago I saw Shawshank Redemption DVD on sale at Amazon.com so I decided to buy it, this past weekend I finally saw the whole movie and boy was I happy. I think this movie will go down in my books as my favorite movie ever. It was sad, happy, intriguing, and very surprising. If anybody out there still hasn't seen this, I encourage you guys to see it...(I don't know what took me so long to see it) but boy am I glad I bought the DVD. Anybody else want to comment on their viewing experience?

I liked the movie mainly because it was almost word for word from the book. It is one of the few that you can watch the movie or read the book and have almost the same experience.

Have it on DVD too. Haven't watch it yet, but saw it in the theatres and on cable a lot. Excellent flick (esp. Morgan Freeman), much better than the boring "The Green Mile".

I agree iamwiz82, Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins were excellent in this flick. I don't think Green Mile was boring but I do think it carried out the plot too long. Keep the reviews coming
