my mom has cancer
It spread to both her lungs.

She's only 61, just learned today from oncologist that the avg patient with similar stage 4 sarcoma lives around 2 years


That's not enough time


I wish we could just implant bionic lungs and put some kinda technology to filter out the diseased cells from the bloodstream.

I went through this 2 years ago with a close relative from start to end. All I can say is that it will be tough. Ketruda is an experimental drug. I am not for or against the drug. Just saying that it is out there for this type of situation. Sorry and prayers.

My condolences. If available and eligible, I'd highly recommend looking into (legitimate) clinical trials - she'll always get the current standard of care, but could have an opportunity to get something that may help more than the standard treatments.
