I'm sure a good portion of men don't like to be around a gay man when he's got even his shirt off... if the gay dude was a CLOSE friend of mine, AND he was already seeing someone, I may not mind, but other than that, sharing a locker room can be disturbing.

Anyone agree? I bet there are many people fine with it, but I guarantee there are LOTS that aren't... it can be uncomfortable.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret: There are gay men in every locker room, they do not want to sleep with you, and you cannot catch "teh gay" from them because you are both not fully clothed.

I can see where some would be uncomfortable for some. Although it does not bother me. I have been a gay magnet for years now and I just accept it. I have def had gay dudes in the gym watch me ie. staring at my ass during a deadlift. I do the same thing to women so I just live with it.

We still have eyes just as straight guys do, it is just the "omg teh gays are going to rape me in the locker room because they saw my little pepe" or "a half naked gay guy is going to make me hide in my room" crap is totally fscking ridiculous. Staring though is just impolite regardless of sex or orientation IMO.

I'm straight and work with a gay man. When I commute on my bicycle I shower here in the men's room and I don't give a crap if he's in the bathroom when I'm dressing. I'll talk to him just as I'd talk to anyone else who happens to walk in when I'm dressing.

Honestly, I don't see why so many people are so uptight about this stuff. :roll:

it still gave me the creeps when my gay "suite" mate was in the same bathroom as me... he would check me out with my shirt off... you don't think that's annoying? if you don't, more power to you... but some ppl aren't comfortable with that. it's ANNOYING... and that doesn't mean i'm scared i may catch "teh gay" from him... it's just annoying to have a dude that is gay check you out while your shirt is off...

I'm inclined to believe most of that was in your head, but assuming that was the case did you ever actually say anything to him if he was that blatant?

instead of causing problems, i just would bring my clothes by where the shower was, and i'd put a shirt on right away... that solved the problem for the most part.

i was young anyway... 18/19 yrs old, so i didn't know better. i doubt i'd ever run into a situation like that again. try minding my own business nowadays... but ur right, it probably was also in my head.
