One of the problems with this whole situation is the gravity with which we take athletes comments. Who gives a damn what a retired NBA player says, or if a retired NBA player has come out? For this stuff to even be partially relevant, I want to see it happen with a current player. The firestorm surrounding that would be interesting to follow.

monkeys do it as a means to curb aggression. instead of fighting, they bone each other, whereas a homosexual's attaction is more deeply seeded in a lifestyle choice. they desire to share more than the physical. a relationship between two gay men is far more emotionally attached than that of two dumb monkeys deciding not to claw each others eyes out and brown eye it.

I'm 100% straight but don't impose my worldview on others and respect people for who they are, as long as they are following the law. You on the other hand, are fighting a battle that will never be won, the path to progress and equality for all in the industrialized world is moving fast and will never revert back to the unconstitutional methods you and your ilk would impose upon law abiding "deviants"

I don't think you know the meaning of "deviant". It's anything differing from the norm.

Only through intense combat (verbal, psychological, or otherwise) does anything get accomplished. A modern economic principle, that has social implications, is the idea that one should be left to pursue their own interests. If people are left alone to do as they please (with minimal regulation, of course) then the ends will be achieved by a sort of "invisible hand" that guides society (or, in the economic sense, markets).
