If I had to live in the Bay Area I'd hate gay people too.
Of course I'd never live in SanFran simply because of that
FYI: San Francisco does not hold the entire world's gay population.
No but for anyone outside of San Fran, ask them the first thing that pops into their head about the city. It will usually be Riceroni or Gay people.
Personally for me it's the Golden Gate bridge, Dirty Harry, or socialists.
But more to the point, why wouldn't you live someplace even if it was perceived to have a large number of gay residents and you are straight (presumably)? Only morons think the whole city is gay.
Sorry but IMO at least, San Fran is a trashy city and I'd never live there. It may or may not be solely because of gay people, its actually because of a lot of things. I just wouldn't want to live in a city, that I believe any way, is most well known for being the capital of gay'dom. Right or wrong. Frankly I remember reading something about it having the Highest percentage of gay men, gay clubs, AIDS or maybe just STDs per capita (per male capita) in the entire united states. It might even be all of those, I know I didn't come up with it on my own. I'll seek out some of these stats if i have a min and post them, I can't remember which stat it was.
And it should be added that when I say "gay" i'm only referring to men. Lesbians don't bother me for some reason. Although I wouldn't have wanted to live in the modern day equivelant of the roman's lesbos island either, simply because I'd never get laid. And trust me, know I'm a bit homophobic you don't have to tell me. And it doesn't both me, I'm not sure why it bothers you.

I don't doubt the stats, but I wondered why a straight guy would be concerned about it or the perception enough to refuse to live there. If anything I'd think the women hunting would be easier because of it.
That is exactly the way I look at it. More gay men per capita = less competition for straight women for me. It's a no lose situation. The only thing I don't understand about gay men is the not liking women part. I am not bothered by their liking men. I just can't wrap my mind around the not liking women part.
Bend over in front of a mirror, that what gay dudes like... yummy eh? :disgust:
1. Some straight guys like that too. They just like it to be less hairy.
2. The vagina is not all that attractive...

of course he can say what he wants, that is the beauty of free speech. but people who oppose bigotry also have the right to say his views are harmful and stupid.
this guy is so dumb, he didn't realize the firestorm his ignorant comments would ignite. therefore you can't even say he is brave for voicing an unpopular opinion.

Its always funny to see a black homophobe. You'd think the a$$ would realize the parallel.
it's even funnier to see people try to compare the plight of blacks to that of gays
why is it funny? there are plenty of parallels between society's historical treatment of black people and society's treatment of gay people. Lack of access to marriage is just one similarity. Obviously there are differences as well.
well, there's plenty of parallels between the lifestyles of gays and langur monkeys, but as you say, there are also many differences. i wouldn't throw them together into the same catagory.... (that is unless i was trying to trump up some lame "gay gene" argument.....LMFAO@ME)

The response of the NBA to Tim Hardaway's statement is interesting.
The NBA today removed Tim Hardaway from its All-Star weekend activities, a day after he said, ''I hate gay people'' in a radio interview with a Miami Herald sports columnist.
The NBA canceled all of Hardaway's assignments this weekend, including an appearance as an ''NBA legend'' at the YMCA of Southern Nevada and participation in the NBA's community caravan leading up to Sunday's All-Star game in Las Vegas.
''It is inappropriate for him to be representing us given the disparity between his views and ours,'' NBA Commissioner David Stern said in a statement issued by the league.

What are the huge differences, if you don't mind to elaborate.
You can be gay and if you choose to keep it to yourself no one will ever know. That is a pretty huge difference.

You're comparing the NBA's immediate reaction to the NFL's actions with regard to a player who made controversial statements nearly 10 years ago? Give the NBA 10 years to forget about this and see if Hardaway is blacklisted.

Why allow oral sex then? It has no purpose other than for sex sake.

A healthy hetero couple can choose to have children under most conditions.
A gay couple cannot. A gay couple is a dead end unless they enlist the opposite sex.
I realize we as a species do not suffer from a population shortage... far from it. Regardless I cannot view homosexuality as a normal or healthy alternative.
Children are our future. If we stopped breeding we would die as a species. A culture who looks down on "breeders" is a culture I will never accept.

Would you then restrict marriage to a couple (hetero) with a woman that has had a hysterectomy? How about a man who is unable to produce sperm?
It's not like homosexuality is an epidemic and it's doubtful that it's nurtured into people which just means that it has probably been around as long as man has been around. Also, no culture looks down on "breeders" but we as a culture look down on many other classifications that don't fit the "norm" established by society. Why is that?
