I just bought a Wii

It also disgusts me that when I go to GS.com to see top games (to buy) All I SEE ARE VC GAMES?!?! I didn't pay $264 to get back into Super Metroid.

Why do they rate the VC games the same as new games. Both SM and MP3 are 8.5... So I guess Super Metroid has the same quality graphics and gameplay as MP3. :thumbsdown:

Just because they are old does not mean they are bad games. Graphics mean hardly anything compared to gameplay. They bring them back because people want to play them (myself included). I would rather have Punch Out or Donkey Kong Country than MP3.

but that's not fair. You can't review a game today and rate it by 20 years ago standards. That's why those reviews were written back then. You can't pretend today's software doesn't exist, or to rate it like it's on a GBA (which doesn't have stronger capabilities.) Why re-rate it anyways? Just go and find the old, original reviews.

I almost bought one recently, but I just can't justify the cost with the current software available. There are a couple of stellar games in the middle of a sea of mediocrity, with no change in sight. After a year or two I might just buy it along with the best games, but not right now.

Besides, I'm STILL busy getting through this stack of PS2 games from the past year. So many good ones! On Odin Sphere ATM.
