I spent an hour on the phone with her. She's real. I always chat with them on the phone for a bit before I meet to make sure we're not completely incompatible.

Actually I have a rule- it's either coffee, on me, or anything else but it's dutch. Weeds out the dinner whores, and women have had no issue with it. I used to pay to be a gentleman, and have no issue doing so for someone I'm serious with, but it's a good way to keep things honest.

Come to think of it, stating that you won't pay for dinner would be a very effective way of getting rid of the dinner whores.
