Hey everyone, I'm currently looking into building a new hard core gaming rig for myself and wanted some advice on how I should go about it. First, here are some of the things I've decided to put together.
* Asus A8V-Deluxe mobo [will order soon]
* AMD 64 3500+ (socket 939) [will order soon]
* Visiontek ATI X800 Pro 256mb [will order soon]
* Western Digital Raptor 37GB 10K RPM HDD's (x2) in RAID 0 [will order soon]
* Creative Labs Z2 sound card [already have]
* Ahanix mid-tower case (black) [already have]
* Logitech Z-680 5.1 speaker system [will order soon]
I need some suggestions on which memory module to use. I'm completely confused on which one to go with because I've read so many different things on different brands and models, etc. Can anyone give me some advice on this? I've been looking at Corsair's XMS and CMX512-3200XLPT, but even then I don't know which one is best for my rig. Can anyone tell me which speed I should go with and which brand is the best bang for the buck? I'm looking into putting in 1GB of RAM total. Also, if anyone has any other suggestions on what I should include I'd appreciate it. Thanks all!
