Like I said previously, go to a college campus and step out in front of a car. In any circumstance. As long as you're walking and he's driving and you're on a college campus you can expect a 7 figure settlement assuming he's got a good insurance plan.

Colleges put their non-liability clauses in their acceptance agreements to everyone these days.

EDIT: By the same token, if you're the driver in said circumstance on a college campus and don't have insurance, you can expect your parents to get the bill. Collectors don't fvck around... they'll get their money from anyone that's even remotely associated with you if they have to.

I hate drivers that are so impatient that they don't let a group of pedestrians cross, especially when it's raining. They actually have the right of way dude. They were probably waiting because they could probably tell by the looks of you that you weren't going to stop.

Jaywalking is when someone crosses the street in a place that's not a designated crossing zone. You know.. The hash marks on the pavement usually found at intersections. Some people will just cross anywhere and that's illegal in most places.
