I start radiation therapy on Monday

Well, my Oncologist is tired of playing wack a mole with the lymph nodes under my right arm. He sent me to one of the best oncology Radoncs at MGH. MD, PH.D specialist in thoracic oncology, clinical researcher.
I went today for my simulation CT scan. I have chemo Friday & start VMAT CBRT on Monday, 15 sessions

My theme song here is “ come on hit me with your best shot! Fire away!”

I asked if I could choose which color I would glow in the dark ( I wanted purple) but alas, no glowing in the dark for me ….but hopefully those cancerous lymph node will be gone.

Well, I had my first radiation treatment today & it was actually pretty cool, the machine moved around me as I lay on the table lying on inflatable pillows. Met with the radiologist & got care instructions for my skin, told to expect increased fatigue & instructed to call with questions or any extra pain.

Next time you tell them to make the table rotate so you can feel like you are in a microwave.
