I think NewEgg sucks.

I've built four or five rigs in the last year, nearly every part in all of them was from NewEgg(if it wasn't for OOS items, they would have been entirely NE parts). Not a single complaint from me(and I like to b!tch ).

There are several good computer hardware vendors on line, but NewEgg is the best I've experienced hands down when you factor in price, service and speed.

Ordered the $25 8 port switch (as seen in Hot Deals, w/$25 rebate = FREE+$5 shipping ) on Monday, on my porch on Friday.

I still have not had a bad experience with newegg yet, including RMA's, so I will not jump on the Newegg bashing bandwagon.

The only place I order from. They always seem to be in the low-end on price and delivery and service has always been top-notch for me. I have ordered probably $5000 worth of components for myself and others in the past year from newegg. They flat out rock!!!

Never had a bad experience w/ NewEgg. I am very willing to pay a few extra bucks for something from them over a store I have no experience with.

The main problems I have been hearing about newegg is that they get a returned product, then re-ship it out as new sometimes. This mainly seems to be happening with motherboards lately. Here's some links for people who doubt newegg has started going downhill

I shop Newegg refurbs all the time, have only gotten 1 item that didn't work...

If I can live with the shipping time (usually very fast) I buy most everything from Newegg...

Newegg is a great etailer. We have never had a problem and we have purchased over $10,000 worth of parts from them in 2003 alone. Most bad experiences related to Newegg have been from late shipments. Of that ten grand, we have only had to RMA 2 items. (Both ATI video cards btw...) and had no problems.

I've had a few problems with newegg. I still shop there but avoid them when I can. I've gotten plenty of dead refurbs, the one that really pissed me off was a pioneer dvd drive that was all busted inside (one could hear broken pieces sliding around). It should have never been sent to me because newegg claims to not send out physically damaged refurb items.

I left a somewhat dissatisfied review for them once and customer service contacted me right away to get it straightened out. Problem was they said they would help me but only if I changed my review first. It was basically a bribe, we will only do this if you change your review to make us look good. Very unethical IMO. Seems to happen a lot more often than people think.

yeap i have a problem with them now.

I purchased a cheap MSI board with onboard lan,sound and took both ddr+sdr mem.
when i got the motherboard in the package had been opened ( the ZIF socket was scratched up) and the onboard lan did NOT work. I really cant ship it back and wait the 2 weeks it would take for a RMA. My wife is takeing college classes online so we really need the computer up and running.

I called and asked if there is anything they can or will do and they said sure send it back. bah i cant do that! grr

Their website could flow better, but they provide great customer service... including QUICK shipping... not to mention the competitive prices... can't find any combination better elsewhere.

Seriously though I would like to see you run a company and make every customer happy. Let me tell you something, it's not possible. Have you ever worked retail? It's just like that. Everyone of your customers will not be happy. I'm gonna say half of the stuff people are complaining about are self inflicted meaning they screwed the stuff up themselves.

As far as I'm concerned, Newegg is an awesome company and I do like their website.

Newegg didn't get a 9.8 on resellerratings for no reason. I have only had to return one thing and everything went well. I have spent over $4000 there.

Are you by any chance a Newegg n00b?

A lot of people have this complaint lately - I don't. Most of the people complaining are relatively new clients for Newegg. I have nearly $60k worth of ordering history and have seen... 4 RMA's

Think about this: say 1 in every 200 motherboards has a manufacturing defect.
- Akbar-n-Jeffs Komputer Hutt sells 400 motherboards = they sell 2 defective motherboards
- Newegg sells 8,000 motherboards = they sell 40 defective motherboards.

So they sell more defective motherboards. Now do you understand?

Newegg just sends you the box as they received it from the manufacturer, you are not paying them the extra $50-100 to open it and burn it in at a test station. If you want pre-tested equipment buy from some local PC store and pay for the service.

I;ve never had a problem with them - great service when it comes to RMAs (since I had a mobo that died after a week of use), they've always been very reliable for me
